From Blackfriars station: Follow the exit signs towards the Southbank Centre then pass under the bridge and turn left up the stairs by Doggetts pub. Walk down Blackfriars Road and take the second right down Stamford St. Hatfields is the second road on your left and we are number 15, the second building on your left. Here’s the Google map route.
The following bus routes stop on Blackfriars Bridge: 45, 63, 100. The following bus routes stop on Stamford Street: 381, RV1 (towards London Bridge, for Covent Garden RV1 use Upper Ground stop) A large number of routes stop on Waterloo Road or just by Waterloo station.

A start-up enterprise ourselves we are a small dedicated team working to grow Grassroots Enterprise.
Richard is a successful manager and entrepreneur who has managed teams from 2 to 30 in some of the business world’s most interesting and challenging environments. Over the past decade Richard has managed several start ups including; a social enterprise, an international development charity, his own marketing company and an ecological construction company.
Starting out in logistics he learned a practical eye for getting from A to B, before spending several years working in poverty stricken rural Africa learning why getting to B means so much. Whilst he may have learnt dozens of management theories whilst studying his degree at Imperial College, he believes in the simple rules of grassroots business.
Richard is now driven to share these lessons to help individuals and communities to benefit from business and enteprise.
Laura has extensive experience of supporting the establishment and development of social enterprises, community projects, and small businesses.
With specialisms in community engagement and social start-ups, Laura’s recent projects include an innovative empty homes renovation programme and supporting the Enterprise CUBE’s business start-up programme Strive.
Laura recently won the national Young Achievers Future Leaders Award for her extensive work establishing and developing these projects, which have created new jobs, apprenticeship opportunities, improved the employment and self-employment prospects of those involved and had a significantly positive impact on local communities.
Laura is passionate about supporting the individuals and communities she works with to bring their plans to life through business and social enterprise, ensuring they have positive futures.
Paul is a successful businessman, building up his company Concord Cleaning from a one-man business to employing 120 staff with a turnover of c. £2million. After Paul sold his business 5 years ago, he became more involved in charitable projects, hoping to share his knowledge of successful business creation.
Since then, Paul has worked in the creation of a number of social enterprises, with the aims of seeking to improve the employment and self-employment opportunities of homeless and disadvantaged people right through to projects to renovate empty homes bringing them back into use as social housing.
Paul is passionate about these projects and through them is finding ways to engage hundreds of people in enterprise every year.
Tom spent the first 6 years of his career working in reinsurance at Lloyd’s of London, in which time he became familiar with the internal workings of large US insurance companies. After studying for a part-time Masters degree in sociology and politics, he decided that he wanted to change careers and work in an environment where he could support people in need and generally make a more positive contribution to society.
Tom has a real interest in education and its power to provide people with the necessary skills to improve their lives. As such, he’s looking forward to being able to work as part of the Enterprise CUBE team.
Tom is interested in gaining experience in project management, as well as gaining a better understanding of how small businesses work.
Sinéad has a passion for reducing social inequality, and is excited to be part of the CUBE team that creates opportunities for people through business. She has experience in several areas of pastoral support. Her voluntary work throughout University has prepared her well for her role as Enterprise CUBE intern, cementing her enthusiasm for helping individuals and communities, and demonstrating her commitment to assisting people to help them achieve their potential.
She is looking to gain a practical understanding of social enterprise and expand her own business acumen during her time with us here, and is greatly looking forward to helping others achieve success through business start-ups.
Jani has joined Enterprise CUBE as our Training Intern after recently relocating to London from her home in Sydney in April.
With a background in Digital Marketing and a University Degree in International and Global Studies, Jani is looking forward to using her business and marketing skills to assist the individuals and communities that Enterprise CUBE works to support.
In her previous role as Digital Marketing Manager at a Digital Agency in Sydney, Jani worked with various high profile clients on projects ranging from website design and builds to social media campaigns to public relations, and everything in between. She particularly enjoys the creative challenge of marketing small businesses, and having always been interested in pursuing a career in social enterprise, is excited help build the startups through our various Strive Programmes.
